The Y's Men's
Centre for the Deaf provides vocational counselling and recreational
service to the hearing impaired. In addition, volunteer training
and sign language courses are also provided for people who
have no hearing problems. The two sheltered workshops and
three hostels provide employment opportunities and residential
service for the mentally disabled, helping them to improve
work capabilities, self-caring ability and self-reliance.
The units collaborated in community programme, the occasion
was used by the disabled to show their talents so that the
public could have a better understanding about their contributions
and their needs. |
